At ALPIMA we will remember Pierre for his passion, his intellect, his commitment to ethics and deep sense of responsibility to others. He created a strong and inclusive culture at ALPIMA and had a profound impact on every employee. He was respected by all and had an incredible ability to make every employee feel like their contribution was important and that they had value to add. His energy and enthusiasm inspired those who worked with him to go above and beyond what was expected of them.
Pierre’s vision for the future of investing, deep humanity and professionalism continues to inspire the team at ALPIMA who is dedicated to continuing to serve its clients.
An engineer turned entrepreneur, Pierre established ALPIMA in 2014 after two decades spent with leading investment banks in New York, London and Hong Kong, where he focused on quantitative investment strategies and derivatives in senior management roles.
A Princeton alumni, the Princeton community was a very significant part of Pierre’s life, and his involvement with the University was pivotal, substantial and multiform. Pierre had been with the Alumni Schools Committee of the UK for many years, where he made a significant contribution. He was also a member of the Princeton graduate school leadership council.
Pierre exuded humanity and joie de vivre. He was a licensed pilot, an accomplished sailor, skier, snowboarder and an insatiable learner. He is survived by his wife Laure, his daughter Inès, and his two sons, Auguste and Arthur.
To have known him, and to have been touched by his thoughtfulness and positivity, has been a privilege. His loss is profoundly felt.
